Thompson’s 2015 paper provides some useful perspectives about how widespread good support for proper school re-entry practices are, and one of its key takeaways is that it’s important for teachers to learn about the illnesses that sick students are dealing with. This helps them to understand and better meet the students’ needs.

We know that school re-entry, when a sick student returns to school in person, can make a huge difference to their lives.
