Alison shares their experience of diagnosis, schooling and independent adult life, exploring fatigue, mobility, mental health, inclusion, peer connection and the importance of keeping expectations high for students with DMD.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a rare, progressive genetic condition that causes increasing muscle weakness and can also affect learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
