COVID-19 Restrictions Are Just A Glimpse Of An Everyday Life For Sick Children And Their Families
COVID-19 has meant that now more than ever, parents and caregivers across Australia understand the impact missing school has on a child’s life. Homeschooling has provided first hand experience both from an educational perspective and more importantly social, the significance of children being connected with their friends.
But what if your child was unable to attend school long term due to chronic illness? Or possibly due to family members, parents or siblings being immunocompromised?
Thankfully MissingSchool, a charity dedicated to keeping seriously sick and injured children connected to their classrooms, was founded putting an end to children missing school for good.
