When your child is sick, you call the school and let them know they’ll be away until they get better. Maybe some homework and lessons are sent home, and the expectation is that they’ll eventually catch up.
But what if their illness is so severe that they miss a lot of school?
In 2012, three Canberra mums were going through this with their own kids — and decided to act — creating a way that would reconnect kids to the classroom and their school communities.
