Inclusive design isn’t just about meeting the needs of the disabled, it’s about opening-up the possibility of creating better products and services for everyone. New technologies are supporting inclusion.
But there are also challenges. Most Artificial Intelligence programs deliberately look for patterns when processing data. But by ignoring the outliers, they risk perpetuating a form of inadvertent prejudice.
